I'm experimenting with keyboard layouts and one of my old ideas came back to my mind. I want to type with mouse buttons!
I have a mouse with 2 extra buttons + horizontal scrolling. So I have to write a script, but I don't know how to: Detect mouse button UP/Downs. Detect scrolling in all directions. Block all mouse buttons while typing with mouse. Any help will be appreciated. ![]() |

What do you mean with "type with mouse buttons"? I don't think there are any KDE applications that will allow you to do this, but you can map mouse buttons to keyboard keys with e.g. xbindkeys and xte. See this blog post for more information.
