KDE 4.4 post-upgrade issues

Mon Mar 08, 2010 2:33 pm
Hi guys,

hope you all are doing well. I would like to ask you for a help. I am dealing with the following issues:

After update to KDE4.4:

- my desktop icons changed the size, each of them has a different size
- they are not aligned to a grid
- when I change them manually and also align them manually, after the restart they are in previous states
- I checked settings but haven't found anything to solve this

Thank you for your help in advance.

Dali.

Are you using the Folder View activity?

Hi bcooksley,

thanks a lot for your feedback.

I haven't set up 'Folder View activity' at all. If it's a default setting, I must have been using it.

How can I check that?

Thanks.

You change the desktop type like this:

Hi guys,

thanks a lot for your help.

I have been using Activity - Desktop. Folder view is not what I would like to use.

All icons have been created while 'Unlock widgets', drag from menu & drop on desktop. Everything OK with 4.3.

Now my size of icons is 32 in settings but Virtual Box, Trash icons are bigger than others, and Xine icon is even smaller than the rest.

If you have any idea what's going on and how I can solve this your advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Dali.
