Hi
I'm using KDE4 with openSUSE 11.3. I've been a happy user of KDE for years now, but I've never yet found a way to use cursors that I created myself. It's something I always used to enjoy doing with a certain operating system, really it's the only thing I miss about it. So is it possible to load custom cursors, or create a custom KDE4 cursor theme? If so, how? |

You may wish to look at one of the Oxygen cursors shipped with KDE. It can be found at $KDEDIR/share/icons/Oxygen_Blue/
A system to construct the cursors seems to be located at kdebase/workspace/cursors/src/ in KDE SVN.

It is possible, but if memory servers it's something that takes quite a bit of perseverance. I don't remember the details of how I did it once upon a very long time ago but things in the following article rings a bell...especially the xcursorgen part. http://www.ehow.com/how_5026012_make-cu ... buntu.html

Thank you, both!
The article Kryten ( great choice of name ) linked to seems very useful indeed, thanks! |
