Hi,

I've ubuntu 10.10 64bit and a laptop with a full keyboard (normal + numpad). By default it always boots up with the num lock off and the led off, but i wanted to have it always on, so I went to System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard and selected Numlock on KDE Startup to Turn On. This makes my keyboard to activate the numlock but the numlock led is off which is misleading. If i toggle it on, the it works the inverse way, led on, numlock off, and vice versa...

How can i fix this? So my system boots to KDE and i get the led and the numlock on.

Thanks!

sounds like a bug, maybe this one https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/658991,

as an alternative instead of doing it in KDE you might be able to do it in the laptop's bios

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x

My BIOS has no options for num lock led stuff... I will wait for the bug to be fixed on ubuntu... :(
