Hi, I was wondering if the look of krunner can be adapted. More specifically, I would like to use it a larger font, and possibly have the krunner box itself a little bigger as well. I know I could change the font size for the whole desktop, but I would like to change it for krunner only - is that possible?

I think what you mean is to resize the krunner box, just move your mouse pointer to the krunner dialog edge and if you see the resize pointer you can resize it like any other window too.
Whether you could choose the font size, I don't know exactly but I would say it is not possible.
