Hi,

Is there any plasmoid for a simple network status icon which would not handle connection but to only show the connectivity of internet i.e up or down?

I know about knetworkmanager but I don't want to use it cause it can handle only one interface at a time(sometimes I need two simultaneous interfaces up)

I searched but couldn't find one..if there isn't any already available, then can a simple widget be created based on gateway ping statistics w/o programming or much programming?

Thanks.

First, I would suggest searching on kde-apps.org for something that suits your needs.
In terms of programming, Plasma supports using JavaScript, with it's own JavaScript bindings to create applets that can provide the functionality you want.

Did you try knemo?

Just did! Thanks to you!! I've been searching something like this for long, it implicitly solves my purpose.

I think it should be made part of standard KDE base with new icons and all. :)
