Hello!
How can I change the tooltip and context menu highlight color? Using KDE 4.6 Thanks in advance. |

These colours are controlled by the colour scheme, which is set in System Settings > Application Appearance > Colours.

I can't find any settings in the color scheme options regarding menu and tooltip drop shadows.
Hints appreciated. |

The drop shadow colour doesn't seem to be changable, however it may be taken from a colour named something else, such as Highlight. I suggest trying options until it changes.

You can use beshadowed, a third-party shadow plugin for kwin. It allows you to control the shadow color, and numerous other properties.

Thanks!
I've messed up around with BeShadowed and discovered that it draws a shadow over an existing one. It appears that there's a Desktop Effects plugin called "Shadow" which does the trick. Exactly what I was looking for! |
