Hi,

I'm discovering KDE 4 (used to be on KDE3 from debian lenny, now with squeeze-KDE 4.4.5)

I have two screens, one below the other. My taskbar is at the top of the bottom screen.
(see screenshot)

My problem is that when I want to maximize an app in the bottom screen, the windows goes below the main taskbar, thus making the application menu unavailable.

What is the right way to make it work ?

Thanks for your help

Actually, it's already set to "Always visible", forgot to mention in my first post, sorry.

And that's also why I'm suprised it does not work...

is 4.4.5 the latest available for Squeeze?

if you change it to "windows can cover" does the window then cover?

Yes, 4.4.5 is the latest KDE available for Debian squeeze (that's the price for "stability"...)

I have four options, tested them all (translated from french, so approx. : ) :
- Always visible
- Hide automatically
- Windows can cover
- Windows go below

None of them has the behaviour I wish...

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Once I activate my second screen, windows go below the taskbar even though "Always visible" is selected.

Is your second screen beside or above your first screen, and are the resolutions of the two screens the same?

Havind the same problem. Two screens, not the same resolution, the problem occurs on the smaller "main" screen (left of other one).
