KDE wallpapers are stored in two places in the trunk: kde-wallpapers and kdeartwork. Why are they split?
Moreover, since the wallpapers are mostly photographs, why aren’t they attributed to their authors? For example, Grass should (probably) be attributed to Fri13. Note: There is also a third directory, WeatherWallpapers. I suppose they are singled out to make it easier for small distributions to choose a starter subset. |

The Weather Wallpapers are a specific dependency of the "Weather" wallpaper type (which changes the current wallpaper based on current weather conditions) and are kept seperate as a result to allow for smaller installations.
The kde-wallpapers actually belong to the kdebase/* series of repos (kde-runtime, kde-workspace, kde-baseapps) but due to their binary nature, and git not handling binaries too well, they are stored in SVN for now until a solution can be worked out. All Wallpapers are correctly attributed in the Plasma wallpaper selector, please see http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0 ... ktopcv4007
