Changing the theme of the system tray

I use an "Air" theme (with slight changes: the clock is "Oxygen"). The system tray recently turned to Oxygen (I think: it has become quite dark). But I can't find any place in the Desktop Theme Details where I could change it back? And what is causing these changes? I also sometimes see my clock turn back to "Air" after a reboot (or logout/login).

Try removing /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/ outside KDE.

It is possible that your custom theme is missing elements, causing the fallback theme to be used. Due to early KDE 4.0 / KDE 4.1 themes needing to remain compatible, the fallback is Oxygen. I suggest copying the needed elements from Air into your custom theme.
