notification applet goes mad

Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:59 am
My notification applet has gone bonkers on me:

All of a sudden it started spurting out these messages, at least one a second and whatever I do I cannot get it to stop.

I tried deleting the applet from the task bar but then the messages appeared in the middle of the monitor.

What can I do to check who causes them?

Cheers google. Shortly after I posted this the notifications stopped so I didn't get any further with my investigations (only tried top and iotop anyway but there must/should be a top relating to network activity...).

Anyway, my tea cup is kteatime (I do drink a lot of tea and don't hear the timer in the kitchen) and the flag business is for the KDE keyboard control module.
