I've shot my panel into oblivion
![]() ![]() Here's the things I've tried to convince it to come back: 1) open a new panel but all the widgets are marked as being used already so I know that the old is flying around somewhere in KDE cyberspace 2) checked the whole ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-* files for "panel" content and changed panelVisibility in plasma-desktoprc (the only one which had a reference to panels) from 0 to1 3) restarted KDE and hoped for the best But, alas, my panel is still in hiding. Any ideas what else I could try? Many thanks in advance.

this is what I think (and I am just guessing)
You want plasma-desktop-appletsrc, not plasma-desktoprc The panel is a containment, you have at least 2 - the desktop and the panel I'd look at the section with:
