Default Panel Height

Wed Nov 23, 2011 8:56 am
Hello,

is there any way to set the default panel height (for example to 45 pixels?) upon installation with a script or config? The panel also should still keep maximum width depending on screen size.

I am sure there is a default setting in the source code but those who create distros are unlikely to include that in their installation as it is the sort of thing which can be set immediately after installation; I presume that, if you keep your /home partition, the value will remain the same.

Hello John,

any idea where the value gets stored if set manually after installation?

Only problem with this might be that different users have different screen resolutions, and so the WIDTH will be a problem to set correctly afterwards...

~/.kde[4]/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc

my guess is in my setup it's:
[Containments][3][Configuration]
maximumSize=1920,51
minimumSize=1920,51

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x
