is it regular behaviour that when i add an application icon to desktop panel it's on the right of the panel instead of being in the left part ?

i'm using kde 4.7.2 and opensuse 12.1

i mean extreme right : at 1st i have dolphin and firefox icons at the left of panel, and new icons aded by myself are added at the extreme right of the panel. Instead of just at the right of the default icons.

Though it seems that if i move the icons i add myself nearby the default ones, then the other i add are added at the right of the ones i added by myself.
well this was before, now it looks like the icons i add are right of the task manager. But the tasl manager is too large so the icons are in fact at the extreme right of the panel . how can i change the size of the task manager ?

now i was able to drag my icons at the left of the desktop manager, in the left part of the panel, but each new icon i add to the panel still appears at the right of it. I thus have to drag it to the left.
Is there a way to chose where are the new icons added to the panel ?

What you are describing is standard behaviour. I am not aware of being able to change that (and personally don't see the point, as I fart around with my panel once or twice a year but obviously ymmv).
