I cannot find the facility I used to set background to an image I supplied.
Am I losing my mind or is it hidden? |

Thanks!
I right clicked on the desktop and there is no desktop settings on the list I've looked everywhere. Not only that but the image I set last night has evaporated and the under water cave is back |

Alt + D or Alt + S worked Your original solution (right click desk top) worked last night wonder why the image had reverted to the underwater cave??? BUG??? |

Fancy giving us a screenshot of what your right click on the desktop looks like? www.omploader.org is a decent host for pictures...
I have no idea why it should disappear from the menu. Does it persist if you log out and back in again?

You could have just made a screenshot using your "print screen" (programme is called kscreenshot) button but this is great, too, albeit a ton more cumbersome.
So you've changed your activity from "desktop" to "search and launch". I'd recommend this article http://www.ghacks.net/2010/08/16/kde-de ... -explained to get an idea.
