Hi,

I have just upgraded to KDE 4.8 on openSUSE 12.1.
When ever i change the size/position of the panel it defaults back to the original height and maximised alone the bottom of screen.
I am trying to make it similar to windows 7 with a larger icons on taskbar.

I have tried deleting ~/.kde/shared/config.
Also tried changing setting under root user.

Still goes back to default size/position on next login.

UPDATE:

Just installed Kubuntu 11.10 x64, upgraded it to KDE 4.8, and added icon-tasks and it works exactly as expected, changes in panel height/width are saved and loaded next time i log in.
