I recently upgraded to kde4.8 in archlinux, and I found that the options in system settings->configure desktop effects->general has lost the option of effects for windows switching.
I got two screenshots to show the difference :


Does anyone use other distributions has the same problem?

see systemsettings -> window behavior -> task switcher -> effect -> then select layout based switcher and click wrench to customize it
