No idea about the first one to the left, I don't have that icon in my Kickoff menu. Which version are you using? About the latter, see viewtopic.php?f=66&t=98877&p=212379#p212402

The icon to the left is likely your person icon, which can be customised in System Settings > Account Details > Password & User Account.
