konqueror4 & java

bk76 Registered Member Posts 18 Karma 0 OS	konqueror4 & java Tue Oct 28, 2008 8:48 pm Does konqueror4 support java? I have Sun JRE installed on my 64 Gentoo but java is not working. bk76, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Oct.

I have it(not from Sun) working on amd64 but I do not really know how I did it. Try installing OpenJDK. Debian GNU/Linux Lenny KDE 4.1.96 How many bugs have you triaged today?

bcooksley Administrator Posts 19765 Karma 87 OS	RE: konqueror4 & java Thu Oct 30, 2008 2:50 am In Konqueror check the path to the 'java' executable is correct. It can be set in Settings > Configure Konqueror > Web Browsing > Java & JavaScript It should read either 'java' or a specific path to a java executable ( /usr/bin/java for me ) that is valid. Note that if the correct 'java' executable is in your $PATH then just 'java' should work fine ( does for me ) KDE Sysadmin [img]content/bcooksley_sig.png[/img]
