DSL connection problem in KDE

Mon Mar 19, 2012 6:32 am
I have been a gnome user but want to use KDE now as my DE. It works great except that i cannot connect to my DSL internet connection in KDE. I tried it in kubuntu and pclinux os. A new connection is made in the dsl tab in the 'edit network connections' window but it is not displayed in the network manager when i want to connect. In gnome there is no such problem and the new 'dsl conennection 1' is displayed after it is created. But i want to use KDE now and without internet its less fun. Thank you in advance for your help.

You need to use a recent Plasma NM version (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ne ... 0-1ubuntu1). The one Kubuntu 11.10 ships is more than 9 months old and the DSL support is broken. The recent ones work with DSL connections:
