I'm currently using the desktop environment Cinnamon (a Gnome 3 fork) for openSuSE 12.1 which is running parallel to my default KDE install. I want to use my KDE apps on Cinnamon as usual, but I'm running into troubles using Kopete.
Whenever I receive a message, be it via native Kopete or the Skype integration, the Kopete message window gets an instant auto-focus. It pops up in front of all windows, and the text input receives focus. I get interrupted with whatever I am doing and I can't seem to stop it. I'm not experiencing these problems when running a KDE session and I can't seem to find anything in the Kopete settings to disable it. Am I missing something? Is this a bug of Kopete or should I report it to the Cinnamon guys as well? |

I would think it's window manager functionality and thus you should post on the Cinnamon forum or maybe Gnome Shell as Cinnamon is a fork of it , similar issue: https://github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon/issues/233

Ah yes, I see where the problem lies. So it's a Cinnamon problem. Thank you for the quick reply!
