Lately, when I am using Rekonq 0.9.2 to use Facebook, I keep getting logged off everytime I click on a link that keeps me in Facebook. I am using KDE 4.8.2 with Chakra Linux. I have this same problem when I use Facebook in KDE's plasma windowed browser. I do not have this problem when browsing in Qupzilla 1.2.0. I used to not have this problem with Rekonq. Before, I file a bug with the KDE bugtracking system, I would like to know if any other Rekonq or Konqueror-WebKit user has this problem including those on other distros. I am using QtWebKit 2.2.1.

Have you tried clearing all cookies stored by Rekonq?

I cleared the cookies and went back on Facebook, but I still have the same problem.

Same problem with gentoo, qt 4.8.1 and konqueror and rekonq in webkit mode. Kind of annoying, has anybody found a fix?

I wonder if a general cookie bug has crept into Rekonq. Recently I set up an OwnCloud instance on Amazon Web Services. When I log into my instance using Rekonq, I experience a variety of problems that exhibit themselves as authentication errors. Firefox works without incident. I have experimented with various configurations of enabling/disabling cache and HTML5 object storage; nothing helps.

I've got the same problem with both Fedora 16 and Arch. However, I seem to get the same bug with Konqueror in Webkit mode - but not in KHTML.

Same probleme here. Kubuntu 11.10, rekonq 0.9.2 compiled from source, kde 4.8.2.

I've submitted a bug-report.

I think it is reported to the wrong component ;) it is not rekonqs fault but kdewebkits or even qt-webkits ;). It also happens with konqueror in webkit mode.

If you try Konqueror with KHTML and Arora (Qt Webkit based browser) does this work?

Yes, it works for both Arora and KHTML Mode in Konqueror. It is just kde-webkit which has the problem.

Please file a bug against the KWebKitPart on bugs.kde.org. It seems to have some issues concerning cookie handling.

I just switched over to Slackware Current, and used the alien.slackbook.org site to upgrade to KDE 4.8.3. I went to Facebook in Konqueror - WebKit and found out the bug is not in Slackware. This is one place where Slackware has the edge over most other operating systems.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions ;), if you have a look at the bugreport you can see that a patch already exists for some time now :). Perhaps they just included the patch.
