I launch konqueror, and everything is fine. I try going to google.com (or just any web address), and then konqueror freezes up (and by minimizing I just end up with the entire window being grey). After about 10 minutes, it finally loads up fine. Any new link/address takes just as long (even for a LAN http server and localhost http server). Using it to browse local files is fine.

Not sure how to go about figuring out whats wrong.

nm. it had to do with having "autodetect proxy" enabled.
