Hello
I have a backup file with a lot of bookmarks (I made it in my previous installation of KDE, from Bookmark Editor, it is a file .xml). I have tried put those bookmarks in Konqueror but it does not save them. I mean, I open Bookmark Editor from Konqueror by Bookmarks > Edit Bookmarks... On Bookmark Editor I do clic on File > Open... and then I select the file .xml named above. So then Bookmark Editor shows the bookmarks included in the file but Konqueror does not show these in Bookmarks menu. I think Konqueror should show these bookmarks, or am I wrong and I must do something else in order that Konqueror shows them at its bookmarks menu?. Thanks |

If you make a change in the bookmark editor, does this refresh the list of Bookmarks shown in Konqueror?

Marked as solved, as it seems you are sorted out now.

Oh. Instead of File > Open have you tried exporting your *.xml file as one of the supported export formats, then importing it appropriately?

That worked!
I have exported the xml file to Opera Bookmarks and after imported it with Opera Bookmarks. I opened the xml file with Bookmarks Editor, File > Open, I exported it to Opera Bookmarks (.adr file), File > Export > Export Opera Bookmarks. After I have imported the .adr file in File > Import > Import Opera Bookmarks and now Konqueror shows the bookmarks on its Bookmarks menu. Thank you so much. |
