Skype WebCam-picture upsidedown

Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:58 pm
Hi @ all,

I follow the instruction of German wiki http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Skype until until
Abschließend muss das Skript /usr/local/bin/skype ausführbar gemacht werden [6]. Zusätzlich muss darauf geachtet werden, dass das Paket
.

From my side no idea how to make the mentioned script and let execute following:
Code: Select all
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype

Second question: If I let Skype start through the script, can I add the "--nosplash"-option like this?
Code: Select all
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype --nosplash

If the script-solution can't work, can you explain how I can let run ld_preload before login
Code: Select all
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l1compat.so

naturally i will setup an autostart for skype with the "--nosplash"-option

Thanks in advance and best regards.

Sorry Mates,
apparently under 12.04/KDE should be used the older 32 Bit LD_PRELOAD for Skype. So adding:
Code: Select all
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype

in the bash-script under "/usr/local/bin/" autostart Skype with the right picture-orientation.
Thanks again.

Just to clarify - you certainly can add any arguments you want after the "skype".
