Networkmanagement drops connection on lock

Issue where the networkmanagement plasmoid drops the connection every time I lock my screen. Does not matter if it is ethernet or wireless.
How do I stop this? Is it a policy issue? |

Plasma NM (the networkmanagement plasmoid) does not drop any connection unless the user clicks on the disconnect button for that connection. Do you use systemd? This maybe be related to console session issues KDE has with systemd.
