Queue manager messed up after adding a torrent

Whenever I add a torrent, it seems that my queue manager gets lost... my current downloads go to the bottom of the list. Well, I have quite a long list, so I don't really know which ones are moved or if the list is actually reversed, but I'm sure the current ones go from top to bottom. The newly added one goes to first place.

Well, KTorrent was the only client I have used with this behaviour... I don't know if this by design (because of the option to start the torrent immediatly) or a bug. At least, my high priority torrents should not go to the end of the list; the way it is now, I have to reorder my priority list whenever I add a torrent. And this is really annoying. I just came from Deluge, which handles priorities perfectly (IMHO). The richer feature set provided by KTorrent made me migrate to it (actually, I just came from GNOME to KDE also...).

By the way, why not the option to sort torrents by priority in the main list (like in Deluge)? It would be just another column that could be hidden, anyway. Yes, I'm a programmer (and I use Qt too). I believe this is not a huge change, and I believe this is more user friendly: it is not pleasant to the eyes to see your high priority torrent way down in the list, just because it was added last, or worse, because it starts with Z! Not to talk about the other torrents, which will be scattered in the list depending on the sort criterion (and chances are that none of the currently avaiable ones will place them together). The other columns have variable values, which will make the torrents bounce up and down depending on their current state. I mean, in the current state I have no fast means to tell the order of the execution of the torrents.

And don't tell me this can be seen in the Queue Manager (QM) window. I know this. But it is hard to correlate the information provided by both windows. Better, why two windows to do the job that a single window can do? QM window has only a few information (being one of them duplicated, the name of the torrent), which could be merged into the main window. And when you have a long list (like I do), it gets confusing to find the same torrent in two different windows, specially considering the second one (QM) has no sort option. And filtering out discards positional information, which is important too: I want to know the torrents that will execute before and after each one.

I just upgraded to version 4.3.1, hoping this was fixed. It makes me no sense to have my high priority torrents being automatically assined the lowest ones.

If this is really a bug, where can I report it? (as I said, I'm brand new to KDE) Also, where can I make a feature request to add the option to sort by priority?

I made a fast search in the forums and found nothing related, basically old stuff. Since I'm using the latest stable version, I decided to open this thread.

Thank you for the attention,
Edgar.
