I think Quassel and Konversation are both great IRC clients. That said, I like Quassel better but run Konversation as my daily driver. The only thing holding me back is I see no option in Quassel to receive notifications every time a message is received on a public channel. Maybe I missed a setting? Maybe some one knows a script to handle this?

I figure this is a long shot and development of Quassel IRC seems pretty slow, but never know unless you ask.

Unfortunately I could not see any possibility to add such an option to Quassel - it's notification options are unfortunately fairly limited.
