Using rekonq 1.1 on KDE 4.9.5
In Konqueror (and Firefox...) you can drag a link from the page to the bookmark sidebar/panel and insert it directly where you want to keep it. When I try to do the same thing on Rekonq I get a forbidden sign. I can drag/drop a link to the bookmarks toolbar but 1) it won't open folders automatically and 2) even if it did, it wouldn't be as efficient as dropping in a permently open folder. Is it a functionality gap or am I missing something? PS: I'm not even able to post here using rekonq? the Submit/Preview/Save buttons are inoperative. |

As Rekonq uses QtWebkit I would be quite surprised if it did not work on this forum. Please open a separate topic in the Feedback forum regarding this so we can investigate.
In regards to dragging and dropping of links into the bookmarks area, this is likely not implemented in Rekonq. Judging by the behaviour you are describing, the code does not currently advertise support for drag and drop operations involving URLs. I would suggest filing a feature request at bugs.kde.org, if you are running the latest version of Rekonq. If you are running a older version, I would recommend upgrading first.
