Greetings
I've been using Kde for an hour. I cannot find anything that allows one to see, modify vpn settings. The openvpn settings, certs and keys are valid because they work with gnome 3 and windows , which are also installed on this computer. Although I have setup encrypted lvm on top of raid10 in Arch Linux, and I've set up muliple partitions within a geli encrypted gpt partion residing on a stripe across two mirrors (raid 10) in Freebsd, I request that any answer be wriiten in complete sentences. In searching the forums, I've saw several responses whose incompleteness made then cryptic to someone as new to Kde as my self. Good looking system, using less than ram than expected, so hopefully someone can help me.
Thaanks in advance.

Usually there is a "Network Management" applet, sitting in the System Tray which allows you to manage this.
It is possible that this applet is missing.

Please open System Tray Settings > Display, and check the "Extra Items" category for an item labeled "Network Management" and make sure this is checked. If it is missing, check your package manager and make sure the appropriate KDE 4 related "networkmanagement" package is installed. The name of the package differs depending on the distribution unfortunately.

You can access the settings of the System Tray applet by right clicking on blank areas surrounding icons in the System Tray, or by clicking the cashew on the right most side of the panel, and then hovering over any part of the system tray and right clicking (you need to unlock widgets for this to work).

Mr. Cooksley,
You were correct. For VPN and network management in "Arch Linux" and probably Arch Linux derivative operating systems, pacman -Ss should return extra/kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement. I've always used keepassx, so Gnome and windows users my want to disable Kwallet as it will cause lots of problems. Note: lots of problems means that I am not one to read anything when it comes to openvpn and networking, which I take for granted. Since Kwallet interact with a network in an unexpected fashion, problems occurred. Overall, this elegant looking system runs very smooth.
Thanks for your help.
