Greetings,
kvpnc does not function, period. hangs for root doesn't function (work) for non root users.
Multiple errors when I attempt to start it as root. It also hangs. Editing visudo as the sourceforge suggest does nothing for the non root user. Not even the errors can be found via google. I'll post what you may ask, but please understand that I am new Kde (two hours of experience).

I've been able to setup encrypted lvms and even software encrypted 'raid 10' devices on Arch Linux, and the equivalent on Freebsd, so Newbies are in serious trouble if no one here can help me.
I fixed, the volume via goog post, so this vpn problem is the only remaining opstical to my enjoyment of Kde.
Thanks
In advance

As "vpnc" based VPNs are supported by Network Manager, I would advise using the "Network Management" applet instead. This approach will not require root access either, once the initial installation of the vpnc plugins has been completed.

You can begin setting up a VPN by selecting "Manage Connections" in the applet, crossing to "VPN" and then adding a new "VPNC" connection. You should then be able to set it up as needed.

If you do not see this option you may need to install the appropriate plugins for Network Manager itself - the name of these is usually distribution dependent however.

System: Arch Linux/Windows Kernel 3.9.3-1
Kde 4.10
See this post for greater detail: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=111343
Installed extra/kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement for Arch Linux
Note: If one has been a Gnome user and a keepassx user like myself, Kwallet may be be a bit confusing and redundant, but it can be disabled.
YMMV. I'm simply unwilling to spend more than 0.3 nano seconds learning a new way to do the same thing.
Thanks,
Mr. Cooksley
