Hi all,

I have a small problem with rekonq. On some websites, it will load correctly, but in the end, the address bar will be filled with the url of some social network plugin on the page.
For instance I visit http://alicerosebell.wordpress.com/, and in the end I get this in the address bar: http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/follow_button.1371247185.html#_=1372358812777&id=twitter-widget-0&lang=en&screen_name=alicebell&show_count=false&show_screen_name=true&size=m
This is happening to me on lots of websites, sometimes I even get 'about:blank' in the url bar after a page has loaded on http://lemonde.fr

Anybody know a work around this ?
Thank you.

Hi,

I had the same problem: the address bar after some time fills with some other url, perhaps ads. I solved by enabling adblock, did you try?

Which version(s) of Rekonq are in use here?

As this is the latest version, I suggest filing a bug report at bugs.kde.org concerning this.

Hello,
The problem appears to be solved as of Version 2.3.2
Using KDE Development Platform 4.10.4 (on Chakra at least).

This could very well depend on your Qt version. Which version of Qt are you using?
Code: Select all
rekonq --version

Based upon that report, you'll need to wait for a new release of Rekonq then i'm afraid.
It possibly worked properly for the Chakra user(s) because they may be using the latest Rekonq, compiled from sources - which already have the fix.

I have just compiled Rekonq from sources, fixed.
