If you run "kdebugdialog" and enable all areas, then run Krdc in a terminal, is any relevant output made there which could explain why the connection is failing to be made successfully?

Thank's for your answer
Here is the output : krdc(28767)/krdc (RDP backend) RdpView::start: Starting xfreerdp with arguments: ("-g", "1280x1024", "-k", "0x0000040C", "-d", "xxx", "-u", "xxx", "-p", "xxx", "-D", "-X", "75497654", "-a", "16", "--plugin", "rdpdr", "--data", "disk:media:/media", "--", "-x", "l", "--rfx", "-r", "printer:Samsung_ML-2950_Series", "-r", "printer:HL-1430", "--ignore-certificate", "--plugin", "cliprdr", "-t", "xxx", "xxx") krdc(28767) MainWindow::statusChanged: -2 krdc(28767) MainWindow::statusChanged: -1 krdc(28767) MainWindow::statusChanged: 0 krdc(28767)/krdc (RDP backend) RdpView::receivedStandardOutput: receivedStandardOutput: "loading plugin rdpdr invalid option: -r failed to parse arguments. It seems that "-r" is invalid, but when I launch it by command line (using rdesktop), there is no problem. Thank's |

Based on that output, KRDC now uses "xfreerdp" rather than "rdesktop" to connect to RDP based desktops - which could very well explain why this occurs. I would suggest checking the documentation of xfreerdp for the appropriate options to use instead.

Thank's for this information,
so when I try in command line with : xfreerdp --plugin rdpdr --data printer -- -u user host That's working fine, but when I use those parameters to krdc --plugin rdpdr --data printer -- I can connect to the server, but no printer. krdc(29160)/krdc (RDP backend) RdpView::start: Starting xfreerdp with arguments: ("-g", "1280x1024", "-k", "0x0000040C", "-d", "xxx", "-u", "xxx", "-p", "xxx", "-D", "-X", "79692340", "-a", "16", "--plugin", "rdpdr", "--data", "disk:media:/media", "--", "-x", "l", "--rfx", "--plugin", "rdpdr", "--data", "printer", "--", "--ignore-certificate", "--plugin", "cliprdr", "-t", "xxx", "xxx") krdc(29160) MainWindow::statusChanged: -2 krdc(29160) MainWindow::statusChanged: -1 krdc(29160) MainWindow::statusChanged: 0 krdc(29160)/krdc (RDP backend) RdpView::connectionOpened: Connection opened There is nothing about printers in debug output. An idea ? |

Hmm. Can you compare the actually executed commands, through the output of "ps aux" or similar?

From Krdc :
xfreerdp -g 1280x1024 -k 0x0000040C -d afitse -u xxx -p ******** -D -X 79692398 -a 16 --plugin rdpdr --data disk media /media -- -x l --plugin rdpdr --data printer -- --ignore-certificate --plugin cliprdr -t xxx xxx From xfreerdp : xfreerdp --plugin rdpdr --data printer -- -u xxx xxx I have try to remove some parameters from Krdc command, and I have found the problem. The right command should be : xfreerdp -g 1280x1024 -k 0x0000040C -d afitse -u xxx -p ******** -D -X 79692398 -a 16 --plugin rdpdr --data disk media /media --data printer -- -x l --ignore-certificate --plugin cliprdr -t xxx xxx I can't find the good way to pass the argument with Krdc since it's always added after -x I Thank's for your interest I have open a bug report : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326306

Not a problem. As the issue is not in Kubuntu itself, but rather in KDE, I would suggest you open a bug at bugs.kde.org instead - where it is likely to get more attention.
