Hi All,

I installed Kubuntu 13.10 on my new system and immediately noticed the new network manager applet. I find it to be quite a regression in usability and functionality. It now looks like a cheap windows clone.

Is it possible to turn use the old applet? That I have always found to be awesome and much better designed.

Is the older version available for your distro? check your repos, else you'll need to compile it and it's dependencies yourself including older versions of networkmanager (.0.9.x iirc) to work with it.
