I use left-hand mouse buttons on my systems. When I use KDE krdc/krfb, the swapped buttons don't function correctly on the remote/krfb system. The problem seems rooted in krfb not recognizing a local Left-Hand mouse. Could be a red herring and the problem is elsewhere.
Here is what I see when each desktop is configured as listed: Local krdc: Right-Hand mouse Remote krfb: Right-Hand mouse Mouse buttons work as expected for the local krdc user. Local krdc: Right-Hand mouse Remote krfb: Left-Hand mouse Buttons are reversed, must operate the local krdc mouse as left-hand mouse. Local krdc: Left-Hand mouse Remote krfb: Right-Hand mouse Mouse buttons work as expected for the local krdc user. Local krdc: Left-Hand mouse Remote krfb: Left-Hand mouse Buttons are reversed, must operate the local krdc mouse as right-hand mouse. Any ideas? Is anybody able to confirm the problem? Thanks. Edit: This is on Slackware 14.0 with KDE 4.10.5. I also tested with some live cds: slax and fedora. Same results: left-hand mouse buttons don't work. |

Unfortunately this is likely a result of how Krfb functions and how the left/right hand mouse mechanism is implemented.
What it does is essentially "reverse" the left/right mouse buttons - which is why double left gives you the effect of a right hand mouse. As far as I am aware, there is little that can be done about this unfortunately, due to the way X works. You could try another VNC server however to verify that this is the case though.
