kubuntu 12.10 - When running: sudo apt-file update:
why does the output of the following show “Ignoring source without Contents File:” Ignoring source without Contents File: http://extras.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/q ... s-amd64.gz Ignoring source without Contents File: http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/d ... s-amd64.gz Ignoring source without Contents File: http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla ... s-amd64.gz Ignoring source without Contents File: http://ppa.launchpad.net/yannubuntu/boo ... s-amd64.gz What do I have to do to correct this? |

if you open the links they all say "404 Not Found", you should check the Ubuntu website maybe your ppa's are out of date and need to be updated

Removed all of above from Security Updates
Ran Muon Updates – Check for Updates Result: Unable to download the following packages: Failed to download gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/extras.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_quantal_Release.gpg Failed to download gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_quantal_Release.gpg Failed to download gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_quantal-updates_Release.gpg Failed to download gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_quantal-backports_Release.gpg Failed to download gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_quantal-security_Release.gpg Now am really confused! I haven't a clue how to rectify this - would appreciate an explicit explanation. |

I'm guessing something is amiss with your ppa setup not with your Internet or Muon, but as I don't use any of these..........
I've moved this to System and Utilities (where Muon would best fit) I would suggest you post on the *buntu forum as this appears to be distro specific found these, may help - may not: http://askubuntu.com/questions/115480/a ... g-and-more http://askubuntu.com/questions/91193/up ... et-updates |
