I can't really help but 2 things someone will need to know:
1) in yast -> network devices -> network settings -> global settings, are you using "user controlled with network manager" or "traditional method with ifup" 2) what is:
ok a 3rd: 3) in the system tray is there a network management icon (might be hidden so you should check the hidden icon icon) if there when you click on it do you see various wireless networks |

Hi, Thanks for replying!
In yast i chose: NetworkManager controlled by user. lspci |grep network --> i obtain nothing as answer Yes, I do have an icon and shows my ethernet connection and my wifi and others. I see that my system tries to connect ("configuring interface"... "waiting for authentication"...) without success. Just a minute ago I went to NetworkManager and deleted my connection just to add it once more; restarted my machine and saw what is commonly happening: i get a wireless connection for few seconds and then switches off. Can you suggest me something? Thanks! |

Hi, again
My dmesg gives a very long output that repeats the information. I copied some lines that I hope that render the appropriate info: [ 988.757207] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please file bug report to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com [ 989.747982] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please file bug report to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com [ 993.583686] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please file bug report to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com [ 994.573511] wlo1: authenticate with 64:66:b3:a5:a6:aa [ 994.576448] wlo1: direct probe to 64:66:b3:a5:a6:aa (try 1/3) [ 994.576467] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please file bug report to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com [ 994.777281] wlo1: direct probe to 64:66:b3:a5:a6:aa (try 2/3) [ 994.978210] wlo1: direct probe to 64:66:b3:a5:a6:aa (try 3/3) [ 995.179143] wlo1: authentication with 64:66:b3:a5:a6:aa timed out [ 995.184245] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please file bug report to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com [ 1005.215986] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please file bug report to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com [ 1006.206760] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00queue_write_tx_frame: Error - Arrived at non-free entry in th e non-full queue 0 Please, tell me what else to post. Hi!
I upgrade my kernel following this post at opensuse forum: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/install-boot-login/493757-updating-13-1-use-kernel-3-12-a.html and could, finally, connect to my network now the uname -r command says:
I Greatly appreciate your support and time See you next post!

the link to the openSUSE forum is bad, you probably copied the displayed text when you should have right click "copy link"

A kernel update was the correct fix in this case - the driver responsible for operating your wireless card was not able to work it correctly, based on that dmesg output. The kernel update will have fixed this.
