Hi!
when I access a Samba share through Dolphin the option to create a new folder from the context menu is disabled, even though I have write permission (I can create a new folder by hitting F10, and I can copy/paste files normally). Is there any config for this? I'm using KDE 4.12 in an Arch linux box. Regards, Jesús. |

This is unusual - if Dolphin believes it has write capabilities then the New Folder option should be available. How are you accessing the Samba share?
Via smb:// in Dolphin, or has it been mounted?

HI,
via smb:/server/share. When I mount it using smb4k it works normally. Thank you! |

Hm, this is quite unusual. I'm presuming the create folder option works fine elsewhere? (Local file systems, etc)
Is the Samba server configured to allow guest/authenticated users different levels of privilege perhaps?
