Hi!

when I access a Samba share through Dolphin the option to create a new folder from the context menu is disabled, even though I have write permission (I can create a new folder by hitting F10, and I can copy/paste files normally).

Is there any config for this?

I'm using KDE 4.12 in an Arch linux box.

Regards,
Jesús.

This is unusual - if Dolphin believes it has write capabilities then the New Folder option should be available. How are you accessing the Samba share?
Via smb:// in Dolphin, or has it been mounted?

HI,

via smb:/server/share.

When I mount it using smb4k it works normally.

Thank you!

Hm, this is quite unusual. I'm presuming the create folder option works fine elsewhere? (Local file systems, etc)
Is the Samba server configured to allow guest/authenticated users different levels of privilege perhaps?
