When using FileZilla for ftp, there is a setting for synchronised viewing of identical remote and local directory structures. I can't find a setting for this in konqueror. All searches lead me to help on synchronised file management, i.e. keeping directories in sync. I want to navigate two directory structures in sync, without changing them. Obviously I can use FileZilla locally for this but as I use konqueror a lot, I want to find out if such a setting is buried somewhere in the options.

Unfortunately due to the way Konqueror operates it's dual panes, it is not possible for this to be implemented. Neither pane is aware of the other - so they cannot know when the directory has changed. You might want to file a feature request against Dolphin (which is what Konqueror uses internally to browse folders) to see if this could be implemented with some changes though.

I suspect such a feature might be too fragile in a general purpose file manager such as Dolphin/Konqueror however.
