Hi, the title pretty much sums up my problem.
Im fairly new with kde and yesterday system automatically asked if I wanted to upgrade to kubuntu 13.10, I did it but after the upgrade there is no way to connect to my wifi, I just get an "IP configuration was unavailable" message.

I searched a lot about my problem but none of the solutions that people posted previously have worked for me, I have dual boot and wifi works just fine in windows as it worked in kubuntu 13.04
I dont know what to do now and I dont want to install again ubuntu 13.04, install kde... (At least if there are any other solutions)

Thanks for everything and sorry for my poor english, I hope you guys can understand what im trying to say.

Hi Alejandro,
Did you try the solution suggested in this thread?
http://askubuntu.com/questions/360478/w ... g-to-13-10

I'm not sure your problem is specific to kde.

I'm only beginner-intermediate user myself, but usually if hardware stops working after an upgrade you can try reverting to an older kernel.
In fact I think linux mint delays some kernel updates by default for this reason, working hardware can stop working

Another thought, can you select previous kernels from the grub menu (when you boot and choose between kubuntu/windows)?
You might need to choose the "more options for kubuntu" option to see whats available

Based on the error message you are getting, it sounds like part of the configuration has been lost. Can you try removing the current wireless connection and recreating it with the appropriate settings?
