[Fedora ver. 20, current KDE spin]
My machine connects just fine to the interwebs. Non-browser apps like SpiderOak and Fedora's update service have no problem. Browsers can reach Fedora and Google, but nothing else--true for both Konqueror and Firefox. The file resolv.conf shows the correct nameservers for my ISP. Problem exists regardless of whether the browser's proxy setting is "none" or "system." Other than Fedora and Google, attempts return a "server not found" error. What the %$#@ could be the problem??

Can you please attempt to run ping attempts against the domains in question using a terminal such as Konsole?
This will verify if the basic DNS queries are failing or not. You might also want to try setting your DNS server to one of the various freely accessible ones such as Google Public DNS or OpenDNS to ensure your ISP is not at fault.

Are you the OP? If you're having account issues please send an email to forum-admin@kde.org and we can sort out the problem.
In regards to the DNS problem, have you tried using a public DNS server? These types of errors definitely shouldn't occur.

It will better to call your provider tell them to correct the settings.
