I Just updated to KDE 4.13.0.

When I'm connected to the network, I see a question mark in system tray.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I see others comments here, but I do not understand what to do: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=487303

Thank you,

Please logout and remove /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/ using a virtual terminal. It is likely an out of date icon or theme cache causing the issue.

Thanks I tried that but it did not do anything. I removed the file and rebooted with no fix.

If I reinstall network manager, is it possible that it would resolve the issue? Does Ubuntu need the network-manager package to connect to the internet? If I remove it will I still be able to connect the internet to reinstall it?

Reinstalling the package is unlikely to solve the issue here, and removing it could very well leave your system unable to connect to a network unless you configure it manually.

I'll ask the Network Management developers whether this issue is known - I think i've seen it mentioned previously.
