I Just updated to KDE 4.13.0.
When I'm connected to the network, I see a question mark in system tray. Does anyone know how to fix this? I see others comments here, but I do not understand what to do: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=487303 Thank you, |

Please logout and remove /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/ using a virtual terminal. It is likely an out of date icon or theme cache causing the issue.

Thanks I tried that but it did not do anything. I removed the file and rebooted with no fix.
If I reinstall network manager, is it possible that it would resolve the issue? Does Ubuntu need the network-manager package to connect to the internet? If I remove it will I still be able to connect the internet to reinstall it? |

Reinstalling the package is unlikely to solve the issue here, and removing it could very well leave your system unable to connect to a network unless you configure it manually.
I'll ask the Network Management developers whether this issue is known - I think i've seen it mentioned previously.
