I go to printers, click in add printer, click in network by samba, but the button of Search are disabled, I can't click in this button.

A local printer, any problem, but in my work, I have a network, and I need add a network printer, I use Linux Mint 17 KDE, and my problem is this, the buttom for search are disabled (when I go to add printer under windows samba because the printer are installed in a win pc). With other desktops, the buttom for search are available and I don't have any problem for add printer.

I search in google, but, or I don't search well or I don't find how resolved this.

If you browse to http://localhost:631/ and attempt the process from there are you able to? It is possible the necessary Samba components are not installed on the computer which is not able to search for Windows network printers.

Yes, I have access to http://localhost:631/ and view all functions but I don't know how add a network printer by http://localhost:631/

I have installed Samba, but continue with the problem that, when I go to printers, Add printers and select Printers by Samba Windows, the buttom of Search are disabled.

With the web interface, if you open Administration it should provide you an option to "Add Printer". If you follow this, and select "Windows Printer via SAMBA" then follow the prompts you should be able to add the printer. You'll need to know some technical details (such as the name of the computer hosting the printer, and the printer name also) to follow this method however.

In regards to the Printers application - are you able to browse Windows shares through Dolphin?

Yes, I able to browse Windows Shares trough Dolphin and I don't know the reasson, but I have full access to windows px. When with Dolphin go to Network and click in my network, I loggin with the username and password of pc windows and I have full access, not only to shared folder, I have full access to all folders of this computer.

As there have been several different printer control panels, can you please provide a screenshot of the one you are currently using? (Particularly with the search button greyed out).

Hmm. I've checked the code of Print Manager and it would appear that the code for browsing printers directly is not implemented. Is the interface the exact same on your other computers?

As a workaround to this issue, do you know the name of the computer which hosts the printer in question, and the name of the printer on that computer?

Yes, in other 2 computers also with Linux Mint 17 KDE I have the same interface.

Yes, I know the name of the comptuter wich hosts the printer in question and the name of 2 printers that this host have, but I don't know how add.

In the text field beside the "Search" or "Navegar" button - enter it in as follows:

Just to be clear, what exactly do you mean with "other desktops"? You mean other computers or you mean same computer using Gnome, xfce, etc.?

Yes, same computer with same distribution (Linux Mint) but with Gnome, Mate (for example), with this others desktops any problem for add network printer, only with KDE I have this problem.
