Hi,
I posted this on Kubuntu forum also but they couldn't give me an answer so far. I have a issue though with my Internet connection. I'm using a DSL connection and I configured it well, I think, only that it asks for password every time I log in, when starting a new session. Screenshot to show that is about a DSL connection: Screenshot of the annoying "pop-up" password prompt: I can mention that: it asks for the DSL password and not my Linux user password. This may be a KDE issue. This didn't happened on Linux Mint 17 Mate which I tried before Kubuntu. I don't have a modem or router in my house. Info: DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04 KDE: 4.13.1 Kubuntu is Installed. Is not on Wubi. Grub: Version: 0.97-29ubuntu66. Description-en: GRand Unified Bootloader (Legacy version) Secondary OS: Windows 7. Installed on a separate HDD. I have 2 Hdd into my desktop unit. Information about my PC: Type: Desktop. CPU: Architecture: i686 Please help! Thanks! |

Which program is this? Based on the styling, this is likely a Gtk+ application using the Oxygen style.

Well, I don't know. That is the problem. How do I find out? I can confirm that I'm using Oxygen as system theme. First I thought is Kde Wallet. I have uninstall it. I did right? Still the same issue. |

I'd suggest reinstalling KWallet - the application in question is definitely something different. Is any information available from Help > About?

I will re-install Kwallet if necessary. The thing with KWallet is that it takes some learning curve to learn it. The purpose of it, how to set up a wallet etc. Also has a bug. When deleting a wallet it crashes every time. Even if is natural to learn something about the system you are about to use, it is also nice to be able to just install and be able to use a OS right a way and then, later, learn the particular of an app, rather than vice versa. This issue with KWallet is specific only to KDE. I don't understand the logic, but anyway... The specific window in question doesn't have Help>About. The question mark on it I think is to provide hint-help, although doesn't appear to work. Also when setting up the DSL connection I didn't found a Save password (remember password) option. It should have, or it just save it? |

Solved. On another forum a user suggested to check "All users may connect to this network". Now is fine. I posted here the answer in case this happens to others.
Have a nice day! |
