Quassel plugins

Thu Sep 04, 2014 6:53 pm
All,

How does one install Quassel plugins on Ubuntu/Kubuntu? I'm Kubuntu 12.04 LTS, and downloaded a .diff plugin file, but find no install instructions, nor an "Addons" or "Plugins" option in Quassel itself, so have no clue how to add this!

All help appreciated!

Not sure why this thread got on the "Feedback" index?

Was not given an option of where to put it!

Cheers!

Quassel is a QT not a KDE app so you'd best ask on their forum or Kubuntu's as it's they're default irc per Wikipedia

google01103,

If Quassel is not a KDE app then why is it installed as a default IRC chat client?

Cheers!

distributions decide what to package and what to make as their defaults and that's what Kubuntu decided to use as the their default IRC - you need to ask them why

KDE's ships with Konversation, you should give it a ago it's very nice imho
