I can't connect to wireless network after upgrading to KDE Plasma 5 running on Mint 17 KDE version.

Following is my situation:
I have recently installed Mint 17 (KDE) on my Asus Sonic master laptop. My wireless connection was working fine. But, after I installed the KDE Plasma 5 and tried to connect to the wireless network and I couldn't connect. If I switch the window manager and go back to the default KDE Plasma that came with the Mint 17, I can connect to the wireless network just fine, but it (wireless connection) won't work with the KDE Plasma 5.

I also installed Wicd Network Manager and tried to connect to the wireless network from Wicd and it doesn't work. Everytime I tried, I get bad password error.

If anybody out there would be kind enough to provide any insight into this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd really like to try out the Plasma 5.

Thanks,
ZakirH
