I have an ASUS RT-AC66U wireless router and have setup pptp VPN and able to easily connect a Kubuntu laptop and Android device to the VPN. However, I wished a greater level of security by utilizing OpenVPN and providing a pre-shared key to clients. I have downloaded from the ASUS router, it's created OpenVPN key, to the same Android device and Kubuntu Laptop. Using "OpenVPN Connect" on Android and the KDE Network configuration GUI, I have been unsuccessful in creating an Open VPN connection. I have searched YouTube and for articles the net for this specific situation without success. Possibly I am entering incorrect information into the fields in the KDE Network settings, IE: Gateway, connection type, Direction, Local IP, Remote IP.

I feel certain that this setup is much easier than I am finding it to be. I would appreciate assistance.

Thank you.
