Can't connect to the internet with my SSID.

I just installed Kubuntu 16.04 64-bit and in the list of SSIDs I keep choosing mine. After I enter the password then the SSID above that, Xfinity wifi, is which is connected. I had tried many times disconnecting the incorrect SSID to chose mine, but it keeps reverting.

EDIT:

workarounds, maybe:
    have you tried deleting it?

is it set to "automatically connect to this network when available"?

have you tried not allowing any users to connect to that network in advanced settings?

I had deleted it in and after reboot it was still in Networks.

I couldn't set it to Automatically connect because the OK button was faded out.

I made sure that I'm the only user that can connect.

I had meant deleting and not allowing any user access to the Xfinity wifi forcing it to not be used

Why is "automatically connect to VPN ...." checked with not VPN selected/listed?

xfiniti is not shown in your list of available networks? does it show for a different user?

how'd you get rid of it? deletion?

in /etc/NetworkManager is there an xfinitiwifi file?

I am the only user. I deleted xfinity from the Connection editor. In /etc/NetworkManager this is all I saw:

1) does it show for another user

2) does in show on your phone/laptop/whatever

3) does the pc connect to the desired network now

I didn't get you. For now I've got Linux Mint with Mate. I need to know if the problem was Kubuntu or KDE. I will file a bug report. I f it is Kubuntu then I will try the distro in your sig.

as the gui is just a wrapper around networkmanager it could very well be your distro, either way don't mark it as solved unless it is

ps - I just noticed it's in the wrong forum, maybe moving it to Internet & Network will get a response
