Greetings,
I am attempting to connect to a KDE neon server via RDP from a KDE neon client and have been totally unsuccessful. I'm pretty new to this... I have successfully connected to an Ubuntu Mate 16.04 server from my KDE neon client simply by installing xrdp on Mate and ensuring that the service is running. On the client side, I am using KRDC. I followed the same simple steps to install xrdp on my KDE neon server and ensure that the service is running, but I am unable to connect. The error message is frustratingly unhelpful: "error: problem connecting." Can someone point me to an up-to-date tutorial for setting this up? I'm sure I'm just missing some simple step. Thank you. P.S. I'm wondering if anyone could take this a step further and explain why this might work on Mate 16.04 but not a fully updated KDE Neon installation? I thought that they used the same Ubuntu 16.04 base. This is my first attempt to reenter the Linux world since the early 00's and clearly I have much to learn... |
