NFS Shares Dropped on Sleep/Wake

Wed Oct 18, 2017 4:00 pm
I have two NFS shares on my NAS that I have in my fstab to mount to
Code: Select all
/media/Photos
and
Code: Select all
/media/Storage
. When I boot, they are easily accessed via Dolphin. The permissions on both the shares themselves and the folders to which they are mounted are fine, because I can read and write to the Storage and Photos folders easily.

However, if I close the laptop lid, and the machine goes to sleep, when I open it again, the wifi connects flawlessly but I cannot access the shares in Dolphin the way I normally would (in the sidebar). I have to go to the command line and use
Code: Select all
sudo mount -a
in order to access them. It's a minor inconvenience, and certainly not a show stopper, but I am really curious why this happens and what I can do to prevent it.

I'm relatively new to KDE (and loving it so far), after migrating when Gnome announced they were removing more features...and I hit my limit.

Any input is appreciated. If it matters, I'm on Fedora 26.
